MOSCOW, Jan 17 (PRIME) -- The Udachny diamond mine in the republic of Yakutia has been disconnected from power and 180 miners have been evacuated, a source in regional emergency services told PRIME on Wednesday.
“The Udachny mine in the Mirninsky District has been cut off of power supply, 180 people have been evacuated. Evacuation was made by two paths, two brigades of mine rescuers were called,” the source said.
The Udachny mine belongs to Russian diamond producer ALROSA.
